Halloween Card

So this is the card I made

I have entered this card into

Make It Crafty :- Orange and Black

and also

Pixie Dust Studio :- Circles and/or Polka Dots

I merged my images and printed out onto Make it Colour blending cardstock
from Quixotic Paperie (absolutely love this card) masked the image then
made a stencil and used chipped sapphire DI to make the night sky
(never done this before, was quite pleased) I then coloured the image with a
mix of Spectrum Noir and Pro Markers. The moon I dusted with shimmer
chalks which looks lovely in real life. The border is the Spellbinder Fleur
De Lis Accents die.  I thought it looked too heavy for the image so snipped
it down a bit, still not too sure if it looks ok?
Stuck a few tiny stars on and voila!!
Well, think I need another cuppa now and maybe just a little look on some
digi sites. I'm sure I spotted a lovely image I neeeeeeeed.

Halloween Soon !!

Hello Peeps,I am home from Scotland and back in sunny? Halifax,
and after having a bit of a tidy in my craft room I went surfing..........
no, not the kind that involves balance, and getting wet, the kind where
you sit in your nice warm, (tidy?) craft place with a cup of tea and some
choccy biscuits and surf the web. I was on the hunt for digi's.
Yay! it is so nice to have working internet, I love being in Scotland but I miss
being able to check in on blog land etc even the mobile service is pants, I
couldn't use the phone for a whole week at one stage.
Ah well swings and roundabouts eh!

Any way back to the digi's, I am addicted to these at the mo and have been
collecting them like they are going out of fashion ha ha.
There is always another one I think I 'need' !!
Sooo many digi's Sooo little time hee hee.
I had already bought The Cape from  here and thought I could use her for
an Halloween card. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to do, so I
found the Eerie scene from here and the cat from here

So now I think I have everything I need for my card, Here  goes !!

Bonny Scotland

Hello peeps, I am still alive ! Just!!!! I am in Scotland on my own at the mo,
so yesterday morning got the bus to Port William to buy supplies.
Went to catch bus back but couldn't make head nor tail of time table so I
asked a local. "Och hen the next bus isn't till 4 o'clock" she said with a smile,
whereby a chap said "Och nay there's one at 12.45", the time was 10.15.
Mmmm only two and a half hours to wait then. So had to walk the three miles
back with me hefty shopping bag a dodgy knee, a frozen shoulder, and a hip
thats letting me know it needs replacing in the not too distant future.
I thought the locals are a friendly lot maybe someone will stop and offer me
a lift? --------Alas no! --- When I got back a long hour later and saw what
walking along the rugged, narrow, coastline, and dodging various large farm
vehicles, and the very brisk wind had done to me, I can honestly say I don't
blame them.      I LOVE SCOTLAND!!

Ha ha, thanks for reading my moan, I am going to try and make a card with
my limited crafty bits, and when hubby returns I will be giving him a list of
things I neeeeeeeeeed.

Back to Monreith

Hello Peeps,
Just thought I would post this card I made for my Brother, I was
sending him a package and instead of putting a note in, I thought I would
make a card and write in that ( any excuse to make a card lol ). It was a
Quick and easy card to make.

I used my Craft Concepts, Florette Embossing Folder to emboss part of
the design  to represent a branch and used chalks to colour.
I stamped the owl from Stampin Ups Punch Bunch set with Tangerine
Tango, Rich Razzleberry, and Pacific Point inks, then punched them out
using the Three Step Owl punch.I gave the middle Owl googlie eyes and
attached them to my card using foam pads.
The sentiment is from LOTV, mounted on top of one of the stamps from the
Four Frames set from SU, using Pumpkin Pie ink.

I think this is a cute card, but I know my brother wont be impressed, and it will
probably go straight in the bin, however I enjoyed making it and as they say
"its the thought that counts".

I am off back to Monreith tomorrow, so think I will struggle to use the internet
as it is via a dongle. Jim my hubby, says he is going to shin up the telegraph
pole opposite our static caravan and hook us up a phone line so we can get
broadband lol, well he is ex BT.
Wonder if I would be allowed my stash inside H M Prison.
Eeek!
