This week I have been having a shuffle round in my craft room trying to make it look  tidier and create a bit more room for new stuff !! Alas I am fighting a losing battle, so not too much going on on my desk at the mo. Last weekend I bought one of the X-Cut alphabet dies and have frustratingly been trying to get it to cut, hence the Cuttlebug and Big Shot on my desk. I had to google  for info, and found it is a common problem but the suggestions didn't work for me. I have now managed to work out a recipe that works in my Big Shot, big thank you to Anne ( Bollyanne ) for your help and info. Also on my desk are a couple of pieces of card that I'm trying a background technique on (wish they would hurry up and dry). There is also a nude tag on my mini easel waiting for inspiration to strike lol, a dress form die cut, cut from packaging, loved the colour and too nice to throw away, what was I saying about creating 'more room' lol, and a storage tower containing the newly cut alphabet.

I am posting this late Wed evening so will start my desk hopping tomorrow, see you then.
Happy Art Making
Hugs

  3. Organizing and finding places for all our schtuff is an ongoing battle, isn't it. And just when you do find places, you buy more schtuff. Oy! Your background technique looks interesting and thank you for sharing the marvelous ATCs!!

I hope you have a wonderful week!! Happy WOYWW! xxoo Darnell #61

  4. Don't mention tidy rooms to me, it is my constant battle - I need elastic sides on the place. Or maybe just need to stop buying! tee hee!
Thanks for sharing those lovely atc's of yours and can recommend the Memory Box alphabet dies if you get too frustrated.
Sorry I am so late - life just got in the way.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me earlier, Neet xx 27

  5. Know what you mean about alphabets. I've not tried x-cut ones only one of their lace borders, their cogs and leaf dies all of which cut really well. I must say I find cutting at the edges of my Cuttlebug plates is always much more successful. With alphabets I'd only cut what letters I needed using scraps of card and try to get that side closest to the edge too. Tried a craft fair once and vowed never again but that was yonks ago when I was only a beginner, but still NO I'd hate it. Thanks for visiting me this week Happy WOYWW BJ#74

  7. I might seem to be neat and tidy but I do battle the messy at times and it is a constant challenge to keep things in order. I do love the alphabet dies and of course the alphabet stamps are a weekness too. Great bunch of ATC's received. Thanks for sharing and coming to visit, was great to have you pop in.

  8. Very late visiting this week, too much day job work! So glad you enjoyed the Atc, i loved the one you sent and have seen it on several desks you must have been very busy .I know what you mean about letter stamps i can never line them up. i bought the sizzix wordplay die and have been really pleased that it works on my cuttlebug. I'd heard various reports where people had problems with it, but so far so good. Have a lovely week toni x

  9. Hi Lottie,

Oh, I'm so late in getting around! Your desk looks quite productive -- so glad someone was able to help you out with the die issue. I have a cuttlebug and it works well for me. Although sometimes I forget which sandwich to use....

Thank you for visiting, and again, I'm sorry I'm so late!

    Happy WOYWW
