Hi WOYWWers,
It's been a while since I last played along so I thought I had better get my act together and join in with some desk hopping.
First though I must apologize for the rubbish quality of the photo today, as I took my camera out of it's case I managed to alter "something" ??! Every photo was terribly out of focus so I messed about trying to put things right, but seeing as I hadn't a clue what setting it had been on (did I mention I am technically challenged) I was stumped! This pic was the best I could do, so I'm afraid it is WYSIWYG ................... What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get, which is pronounced wiz-ee-wig in case you were wondering lol
I am in the middle of making a 60th Birthday card for my friend Joe and have just added the piece of chain hence all the bits of jewelry. The little jam jars house various sizes of split rings, the tall container holds brads, the tube at the back is a file set. The skeleton languishing on my phone is to remind me Halloween is just around the corner and the two Christmas cards are to remind me Christmas is just a little bit further round the corner........... only kidding (though these days I seem to have to make a heck of a lot of "reminder" and "to do" lists)
The Christmas cards are from Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) challenge, from last week, she had hit the 600 follower mark and to celebrate decided to have her second NBUS challenge which had an amazing 300 entries, Way to go Darnell!!
So my desk hopping friends, that's about it. I must away back to my Birthday card as I need to make a suitable insert and cut a card base to finish off, then I'm off to the post office with it.
See you at your place later
Happy Art Making
Hugs Lottie x
I hope you can get your camera figured. I have a simple Point & Shoot and the settings are few. Fascinating card with the numbers and all! Very masculine and I bet your friend will love it! Happy WOYWW!

I think the picture turned out great! you must have found the right setting :-) had trouble locating the skeleton, let alone the phone he was protecting LOL Really must get rid of this stye so I can see something clearly. Lovely card. Creative Blessings! Kelly #60
ReplyDeleteHi Lottie, you are not the only one that's technically challenge ... despite being able to find my way round a computer no problem at all, I've yet to figure out everything I can with my both my camera and my mobile (cell) phone! Your card is lovely - I do like the sentiment you are including; perfect for a 60 year old. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #51
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card you are making. Funny how we need so much stuff on our desks to make just one thing! #20
ReplyDeleteI had to smile about the camera, you sound just like me, I am afraid to touch any buttons on the camera I use... sigh. I love your card, the embossed background looks great and I love the time theme - perfect sentiment too! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteYour card looks amazing! I love all that embossing and 3D objects! zsuzsa InkyDinkyDoodle #78
ReplyDeleteTechnology is great until it stops working! I'm trying to learn Windows 8 at home and it's driving me to distraction! Love the card, especially they way you've highlighted the 60.

I have the attitude that you learn more by making mistakes, I hope this works for you. You will work it out I'm sure, just have a cuppa first. That card you are making is outstanding, I love it.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week

I love all the steampunky bits on that card - just brilliant! I like the colours you've used in it too, it's quite unusual to see blue in amidst the vinatgey browns :-)

That's a lovely card for your friend, Lottie. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated. Christmas reminders are everywhere this past few weeks - I'm just glad I'm not the only one making them... Do trust you manage to suss out your camera. Photo looks just fine to me..
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Interesting to add some jewellery to the card - looks good. Thanks for sharing. Sorry I’m late commenting. Hope that you have a lovely crafting week to come. Hazel, WOYWW #81 x
ReplyDeleteI didn't think the photo was out of focus at all!
ReplyDeleteThe card you are making looks great. I love a bit of steampunk.
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
Have a good week,
Lisca#31
That desk looks a fun place to work and play, and that card is going to be great. Welcome back to WOYWW. Hugs, Chris # 16
ReplyDeleteHi Lottie! Thank you for your comment. To answer you question: the galleon on my lay out is I think a 'printable' from The Graphics Fairy if I remember well. Anyway it is not a stamp. I subscribe to the Graphics Fairy and every day there is an image of some sorts to download. Usually vintage. I download them and keep them until one day I might want to use it.....
ReplyDeleteCU next week!

Hi there that card is looking good. Thanks for popping by- sorry I'm so late. Anne x
ReplyDeleteHey there, Lottie. Am I late? Hahaha! The better question is, am I blind? Because your picture looks extra specially focused to my old eyes! What the heckers does that mean then? Whatever you worked your camera settings around to, I'd just leave it there as it's perfect!! As is your awesome card for your young 60 yo friend! I think it rocks and is so cool for a guy!! Thanks for visiting me earlier and for your very thoughtful shoutout here! Love you, too!! Happy WOYWW! Darnell #23
